Peatlands Sweater
This sweater is inspired by the colors of the peatlands in Yendegaia National Park, which stretches from the Beagle Channel to the Darwin mountain range in the Magallanes region.
Peatlands are a type of wetland that plays an important role in the ecosystem as they store water and carbon. Peatlands are true natural sponges and thus help maintain biodiversity, reducing the carbon footprint as they are capable of absorbing more carbon than they produce. This can be very useful in addressing climate change.
Peatlands is a circular yoke sweater, knitted seamlessly from the top down. The neck and ribbing are worked in twisted rib, and it has short rows at the beginning of the yoke to give more height to the back. It is knitted entirely in stockinette stitch, alternating jacquard stripes in the yoke and the lower part of the body and sleeves.
How to choose your size
Sizes 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9)
Peatlands is designed for you to choose your size according to the finished garment measurements. The idea is for you to choose the ease and lengths that best suit your body or preferences.
I suggest you measure your body and arm circumference, and sleeve and body lengths. With that data, consider the desired ease. You can also measure a sweater or garment that fits your taste or how you imagine the finished sweater.
The same size can fit different bodies depending on the desired ease. So define it well before choosing.

The history of your threads
The history of your threads
In Chilean Patagonia, dedicated producers with over 30 years of experience produce this highest quality wool.
The sheep live on free-range pastures, which preserves the grasslands, and are free from animal cruelty. Our products are 100% Mulesing-free.
Our wool is hand-washed and spun on a small scale by expert natural fiber artisans in the city of Talca.
Then it continues its journey to Bagual, where it is dyed with ecological dyes
free of heavy metals to protect your skin, your loved ones, and the environment. Our vibrant colors enhance the texture and properties of these yarns in your garments.

This is a semi-industrial product where multiple steps are done by hand. We want you to know that you might find small pieces of vegetable matter in your yarn, as well as a little bit of sand when you wind it. Both come from the Patagonian grasslands. (We told you these sheep like to rub themselves in sandbanks ðŸ¤).
Our wool is spun in a semi-industrial mill, and you might find some irregularities in thickness and twist in your yarn. We like it; it gives identity and texture and makes each garment unique.
Your skeins are hand-dyed, resulting in semi-solid and variegated colors. We suggest buying all the skeins for your project at the same time and alternating skeins while knitting if you want to avoid pooling in your garments.
