Tejiendo Recuerdos: Un Viaje a Través de las Fibras de la Vida

Weaving Memories: A Journey Through the Threads of Life

For as long as I can remember, wool and knitting have been a constant in my life. I recall my mother and grandmother always with their hands busy, knitting in the evenings while we shared mate. This daily ritual became a space for conversation and intimacy, a place for us to connect emotionally.

For my mother, knitting was more than just a hobby; it was her language. Despite not understanding stitch patterns in foreign magazines, she managed to create unique garments. These creations not only became my material inheritance but also an emotional and artistic legacy.

To this day, I cherish these knitted items, witnesses to a family history intertwined with my own. Every time I pick up a skein of yarn, I connect with that legacy, remembering the love and dedication my mother and grandmother put into every stitch. Now, those same emotions and memories are passed on through my hands to my children.

Wool, in its purity and simplicity, allows us to transcend. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to work with these fibers and, in particular, to add color to Bagual's yarns. This work unites my scientific background and my artistic side, allowing me to express through colors a rare blend of exactness and magic.

It's amazing to see how colors appear in the wool; each skein is a work of art waiting to be transformed. Just like my mother and grandmother, I now also leave my mark on these fibers, thinking that someone else will continue their journey, transforming them into new creations. It's exciting to think that every garment knitted with these yarns can become someone else's heritage, the memory of a moment, of a story.

Knitting is more than a craft or a tradition; it's a silent language that connects generations, a thread that unites our past, present, and future. In every skein of wool, in every stitch, we are weaving memories; we are part of a story bigger than ourselves. And that, without a doubt, is the true charm and magic of knitting.
